As the culmination of the celebrations of its ninety year anniversary, the Banca March Spanish bank announces the Banca March International Photography Prize that will be awarded to the visual artist whose artistic trajectory has been developed under the discourse of contemporary photography.
Open until March 31, 2017, the call is open to any contemporary visual artist, national or international, over the age of eighteen. The proposal must be executed under the concept: "The Future lies in Sharing."
Two prizes will be awarded: A First Prize of 8,000 euros. The winning work will become part of the artistic collection of Banca March. The second prize will consist of a purse of $ 2,000 euros, and the work awarded will also become part of the bank's collection.
In addition, a collective exhibition will be organized with the winning and selected works as part of the PhotoEspaña 2017 program. The exhibition will be celebrated at Calcografía Nacional of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes of San Fernando, in Madrid.
