The call for international entries to the Cube Cultura Prize 2012 is open now through November 18th. The competition is organized by CUBE Cultura, a non-profit institution affiliated with CUBE International whose main goals are the promotion of contemporary art and the study of its relationship to architecture, in order to enrich our understanding of the space we inhabit and to experiment with the different analysis mechanisms and creative processes set forth by the arts of our times. The call is open to artists of any nationality, with a single proposal. Entries must be anonymous, under a pseudonym. They must be presented as a proposal and emphasize the relationship between art and architecture; proposals need to be created specifically for the CUBE Cultura 2012 event: they must have received no previous awards or participated in any other competition. Interested participants must present their applications in digital format through CUBE¿s web page. The roster of finalists will be publicized in the same web page, and an exhibition will be organized at the Curro & Poncho Gallery with the materials and images presented. By applying, participants grant CUBE Cultura the right to use images and information from the proposals for any purposes deemed necessary. Entries must include a properly filled out application form, images of the proposal, an explanatory sheet, a CV (studies, solo and group exhibitions, publications, etc.), up to five images of previous works, and contact information (email, phone). Entries will be accepted until November 18, 2011. Finalists will be announced on January 15, 2012, and the exhibition will open in February. Winners will be announced on March 5, 2012.
