Intended to stimulate creation, experimentation, and research through multimedia works by artists exploring innovative technologies and inspired by the work of pioneer and teacher Gyula Kosice, the Objeto a multidisciplinary space launches its call for participation in the Premio Bienal Kosice. The works must combine technological development with the poetics of water, light, and/or movement. The projects can be developed in various formats and may utilize environments, installations, video installations, interactive installations, sculptures, objects, expanded video, site-specific developments, objectual pieces that may expand to the Net, robotic art, luminic art, etc. The jury panel consists of Rodrigo Alonso and Graciela Taquini, well-known contemporary art and new media specialists, and a representative from Objeto a, who will be advised by Gyula Kosice. The winning project will be exhibited in Objeto a during a tentative date that would fall on September 2010 during the 3rd Arte y Technology exhibition. The winning project will also be awarded a prize of 5,000 USD. It is an event thought to motivate the development of artistic-technological projects that rely on water, light, and/or movement. All works will be received from March 2 to May 4, 2010.
