In May 2020, the call for the Premio Azcuy was announced, an annual contemporary art award whose objective is to recognize and promote artistic production in Argentina, encourage the presence of visual arts in the urban and residential environments, and explore the link between art and architecture.
Azcuy –a comprehensive real estate business company based in Buenos Aires–in alliance with the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires–an institution dependent on the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires–with Azcuy's participation in the Museum cultural sponsorship program as an allied sponsor. Named PREMIO AZCUY 2020: Donna Acqua Edition, this will consist of an Acquisition Prize for a large-scale work conceived specifically for the Donna Acqua building, Azcuy's project, in which it will be located in April 2021.
The call for the PREMIO AZCUY 2020, Donna Acqua Edition is open and in the national scope. The prize is created for individual and/or collective artists, adults, Argentines or foreigners with a minimum of 3 (three) years of residence in the country. The Finalist Projects will have at their disposal the technical advice of the Azcuy architects and the curatorial support of the curators of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, if necessary. From among the Finalist Projects, the jury will select a SOLE winner of the PREMIO AZCUY 2020. Donna Acqua Edition, who will receive a prize of 800,000 pesos. Azcuy will pay the production costs of the work.
