Naiomy Guerrero Award as Diversifying Art Museum Leadership Initiative Curatorial Fellowship at Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) announced that Naiomy Guerrero has been awarded the museum's inaugural Diversifying Art Museum Leadership Initiative (DAMLI) Curatorial Fellowship. This two-year fellowship, made possible by the Walton Family Foundation and the Ford Foundation, is offered to students from historically underrepresented groups in the curatorial and museum profession who have recently completed graduate level studies in art history or a related field. The fellow will have the opportunity to work on at least two major projects at PAMM and will generate at least four written pieces for the curatorial and education departments. The fellow will also work to initiate at least two new community partnerships in pursuit of deeper community engagement in exhibitions, programs, and/or collections. Guerrero has a B.A. in Art History from Depauw University and has begun graduate research and coursework towards a Master's in Social Thought. The founding editor of the blog GalleryGirl.nyc (2016-present), she has also contributed to several publications and served as a panelist and speaker at functions related to art and writing. Over the course of her two-year fellowship, she will work with PAMM's curatorial and education staff in all phases of public program development, symposiums, time-based art exhibition development, community outreach, and audience research and evaluations.
