Postgraduate Studies in Sound Creation

Pre-registration is open for the Postgraduate Studies in Sound Creation program, scheduled to begin on October 13th and end on February 4th, 2016.

The Postgraduate Studies in Sound Creation program is a space of learning and experimentation for new sound artists and is addressed to graduates and professionals in music, radio, sound technology, visual arts, video art, dance, drama, and architecture interested in the many modes of sound-based artistic work, such as sound art, experimental music, acousmatic music, sound poetry, performance art, sound landscapes, installation, or multimedia systems, among others.

The program's faculty includes Josep Cerdá (Director), Josep Manuel Berenguer (Coordinator), Carmen Pardo, Roc Jiménez de Cisneros, Ray Gallon, Carlos Gómez, and Bárbara Held.

The Postgraduate Studies in Sound Creation program is structured into seven thematic modules: Psychoacoustics and Experimental Music; Ethics and Aesthetics of Sound Art; Sculpture and Sound Objects; Elements of Musical Generation; Radiophonic Creation; Registers of Sound Landscapes; Sound Installations.

This program can be completed independently, or as part of the course load towards the Master's Degree in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona.
