La Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca opens its call to participate in the Pilar Juncosa Grant 2016. For this edition, candidates may apply for grants in the following five modalities: •Grant for research on Joan Miró and his cultural artistic context •Grant for a project centered on artistic education •Grant to participate in workshops about the work of Joan Miró •Artistic education grants in other centers •Education grant for the winners of the graphic art competition for young creators The deadline to submit all applications is July 29, 2016. Following the wishes of the event's founders, the grants are aimed at promoting and disseminating contemporary artistic values, helping the development of young generations of artists and encouraging a commitment to innovation and the honest exploration of creative paths. Likewise, it seeks to promote research works on the life and work of Joan Miró and his cultural artistic context, and particularly the lesser known aspects about this artist. It also seeks to contribute to the recognition of his creative and vital example through educational programs and projects that bring contemporary art closer to society.
