PhotoESPAÑA launches call
Intending to involve everyone in this unexpected situation due to COVID-19, PhotoESPAÑA launches a call for creativity. "Convinced that all citizens are aware of the role that balconies and windows are playing in these days of quarantine, in PHotoESPAÑA we open this call through social media for anyone who wants to share an image from their balcony."
“Windows and balconies have been, and have remained, a recurring motif for artistic representation. Elements that reveal an external reality to us that place us as voyeurs of everyday scenes or that serve as a symbol of a longing.”
The theme of this call is unrestricted. Participation is open to all audiences; each participant must:
-Follow PHotoESPAÑA's Instagram account: @photoespana_
-Upload your photos through your Instagram profile with the hashtags #PHEdesdemibalcón and # PHE20, as well as mention the PHotoESPAÑA @photoespana_ account (the profile must be open for the duration of the call).
-Register your participation through a form to accept the bases of this call.
On the PHotoESPAÑA website https://www.phe.es/convocatoria-online-phedesdemibalcon/ a daily selection of the best participating images will be shown through a virtual gallery.
This call ends on May 17, 2020. PHotoESPAÑA will choose from among all the participants a selection of 50 images that will be exhibited during the XXIII edition of the Festival in a group show in some of the most iconic balconies of the Spanish cities.
