PhotoBookAwards 2013

Paris Photo and ApertureFoundation are calling for submissions to the PhotoBook 2013 Awards, celebrating the book's contribution to the narrative evolution of photography. The call is open to artists, photographers, publishers, or entities with the consent of artists.

Interested candidates must submit their projects before September 13th, 2013. Thirty works will be selected to be exhibited at Paris Photo.

Winners will be announced in November, during the fair. The winner of "First PhotoBook" will receive US$10,000. The winner of the award will be announced as the year's best photography book.

Projects submitted in the "First PhotoBook" category must be a first artist(s) book with photography as its dominant content; it must be a physical object (no digital books), available for sale or free distribution. The book must be published between September 1st, 2012 and September 10th, 2013.

Projects submitted in the "PhotoBook of the Year" category must also feature photography as its primary content. It must be a physical object with a print run no smaller than 100 copies.
