Latin American Participation in the 58th Venice Biennale

The participation of Latin American countries in the upcoming edition of the Venice Biennale, inaugurated on May 11, is as follows: the Ministry of Culture of Brazil selected artists Barbara Wagner and Benjamin de Burca, with Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro as the designated curator; representing Mexico at the Arsenale space will be Pablo Vargas-Lugo, under the curatorship of Magalí Arriola; Peru will be represented by artist Christian Bendayán and curator Gustavo Buntinx, with a curatorship by the Cultural Patronage of Peru, at the Arsenale exhibition site; Uruguay will send artist Yamandú Canosa and curators David Armengol and Patricia Betancur, with a curatorship by Alejandro Denes, at the Giardini della Biennale site; Argentina, under the curatorship of Florencia Battitii, will send artists Mariana Telleira at Arsenala; and Chile will be represented by Voluspa Jarpa, under the curatorship of Agustín Pérez-Rubio.
