NXTHVN Opens Applications for Its 2025 Fellowship Program

NXTHVN, an organization dedicated to supporting artists and curators through mentorship and training, has opened applications for its 2025 Fellowship Program. Based in New Haven, Connecticut, this program offers an intensive ten-month experience for seven artists and two curators. NXTHVN was founded by Titus Kaphar and Jason Price with the goal of providing an alternative model for artistic mentorship and professional development.
The program provides fellows with a workspace, stipend, and subsidized housing, along with access to professional development sessions led by experts in the field. As part of the initiative, each fellow will collaborate in a mutual learning framework with a local high school apprentice, reinforcing NXTHVN’s commitment to the community and the training of new generations in the arts.
Applications will be open until March 3, 2025. Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start of the program and cannot be enrolled in academic programs or residencies simultaneously. Formal artistic training is not required to apply. However, selected fellows must reside in New Haven for the duration of the fellowship.
The selection process is overseen by a panel composed of NXTHVN staff and former fellows. For more information about the application requirements and process, interested candidates can contact NXTHVN via email at hello@nxthvn.com.
