NIO 6 IRRADIACIONES 2020 International Curatorship of Video Art and Video Performance
The research group L´h, based in the city of Pereiras’s Universidad Tecnológica, invites all artists and groups at the local and international level to send their proposals for the categories of video art and video performance, to be considered for the sixth version of NIO Curaduría Internacional de Videoarte y Video Performance “IRRADIACIONES” (Irradiations), which will be traveling to different artistic and cultural spaces in Colombia and abroad.
The call seeks works of video art and video performance that pose tensions, which in turn partially or fully articulate scenarios, strategies, concepts, image alternatives, and other anchors of aesthetic and artistic empowerment related to the concepts of delivery, transportation, launching, translation, projection, radiation, incandescence, and self-emission, among other possibilities of irradiation.
CONDITIONS
Each artist or group may submit one (1) video.
The video must be an original and all rights must be held by the authors.
The video must have been produced no earlier than 2017.
The video must be maximum 4 minutes long, including credits.
Each video must begin with a caption containing the author's name and title of the piece.
If the video is selected, the authors automatically grant L'h research group the rights of projection and exhibition in different cultural spaces both in Colombia and abroad, as well the use of physical and digital images exclusively for nonprofit, artistic and cultural dissemination purposes.
REQUIREMENTS
Participants must send their proposals via Wetransfer to: grupolh2019@gmail.com with a technical file in word or pdf format
-The artist’s name
-City and country
-The video’s title
-A brief synopsis of the work
-Duration of the piece and the year of production
-Attach 2 video stills in jpg format.
-Proposals will be accepted until March 9, 2020.
Note: (We recommend sending the video in H264, Mp4 or MOV format, for higher compression and better quality).
