Twenty-one works

The Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, under the Ministry of Culture of the City Government, announced that Banco Supervielle donated twenty-one works from its collection.
"The incorporation of works by these artists will allow us to broaden the representation of their practice in our collection, bringing up a dialogue with artists of different generations and a broad public. Contributing to the permanent task of reviewing our gaze on history, beauty, the human and social condition, and expand the capabilities of our sensibility," commented Victoria Noorthoorn, director of the Museum.
The donation includes works by Diana Aisenberg, Eduardo Basualdo, Diego Bianchi, Florencia Caterina, Marina De Caro, Ana Gallardo, Fernanda Laguna, Catalina León, Oligatega Numeric, Cristina Schiavi, Alejandra Seeber, Luis Terán and Gabriel Valansi, fundamental artists in the development of the visual arts between the 1990s and the 2000s both nationally and internationally. Although many of these artists are part of the history of the Museo Moderno, to which they have been linked through various actions (particularly through its exhibition program), several of them were not included in its collection. The donation thus marks an immense value that grants the possibility to honor their work and their role through the research and exhibition of their works, broadening research on the art of our time and setting a permanent dialogue between artists of different generations. In the act of its incorporation, the Museum assumes, in addition to this responsibility, that of making these works available to the public.
Banco Supervielle is one of the main collaborators of this institution. Since 2014, it has made a sustained contribution to the development of the Museum's various programs. This donation consolidates its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of Argentina's cultural heritage and its responsibility to bring it to the widest possible public.
