Central American Women at La Nueva Fábrica

La Nueva Fábrica announced Grito(Scream), a call for Central American women open until June the 1st. Submissions will create a dialogue with Regina José Galindo's oeuvre, as a review of her work will be exhibited at La Nueva Fábrica between June and November 2022. Central American female artists are invited to apply for an exhibition at ÍNTIMO, the project space for emerging artists. Each of the four selected artists will receive a one-month exhibition, a production grant of Q3,000.00, and curatorial support for their projects. The proposal must be multidisciplinary and address social concerns with a critical stance that dialogues with the work of Regina José Galindo. Experimentation and submissions with unusual media are encouraged.
This call seeks to reflect on Galindos's work and how it has been related to new visions of public space and dissident bodies in Guatemala City.
