Madrid Arte y Cultura SA (MACSA) announces the process of selection for its new opening, the directorship of MediaLab-Prado.
Persons interested in presenting their candidacy for the position must fulfill the following requirements: University degree (Licenciatura level), with special emphasis on degrees related to the position's tasks; spoken and written command of English and Spanish required, knowledge of other languages desired. There will be an English-language proficiency evaluation, and, if it is the case, other languages will also be tested. Attach detailed CV with information on professional experience and education. Candidates must submit a project detailing their vision for MediaLab-Prado during the next three years, preparing a document where their goals, programs, and lines of action are defined. The Selection Committee will value additional education and experience, as indicated in the call's official regulations.*
The selected candidate will head MediaLab-Prado's administrative, financial, and artistic functions. He or she will direct and coordinate yearly programming; implement the artistic, technical, and R&D project; direct and coordinate meetings of managements organs as well as relations with the Government's arts area, with MACSA, and with other institutions in the city; represent MediaLab to third parties; promote external fundraising to complement municipal appropriations; coordinate the management and raising of collaborative-project funding as part of the European Union; plan personnel assignments and organization; manage contracts and operational expenses, as well as general services: security, cleaning, and maintenance; create, track, and control operational budgets; propose management strategies, as well as the establishment of direction and governance organs; participate in the creation of the annual activity plan; advise MACSA in matters of digital culture; and direct the daily activities of teams, workshops, and programs.
