The Colección Amalita (Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat Art Collection) presents until February 28, 2021, Hotel Palmera by Matías Duville (Buenos Aires, 1974) curated by Gabriel Pérez Barreiro and the co-curator Lara Marmor. Hotel Palmera proposes an immersive curatorial dialogue to gain an in-depth understanding of his research and creative processes, starting with a tour of new installations and a collection of drawings from different stages of his career. The exhibition invites the public to immerse themselves in Duville's timeless landscapes, a mixture of real and illusory geography.
Additionally, the music created by Centolla Society -the band that Matías shares with his brother Pablo- is also present at Hotel Palmera. Since music is part of his creative process, he considers it a means to travel from one place to another. A story written by César Aira accompanies the exhibition.
