"Marta Traba 4 veces" at Universidad de los Andes

This past September 7 was inaugurated "Marta Traba 4 veces," an exhibition that proposes a journey through the legacy and influence of this art critic, a key figure in the consolidation of modern art in Colombia and Latin America.
This exhibition's central input is Traba's personal archive, recently donated to the Bank of Digital Archives of the Arts in Colombia (BADAC) of the Universidad de los Andes, which will soon be digitized and published for free consultation. "Marta Traba 4 times" proposes to revisit through unpublished documents the figure of Traba under four curatorial axes that correspond to four of her facets: art criticism and cultural management, teaching, literary creation, and intimate life.
This exhibition offers the opportunity to recognize Traba's mythologized figure through her personal archive, and to immerse oneself in the discussions and dynamics of the Latin American intellectual circles of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition was organized by the Universidad de los Andes, under the curatorship of Ana M. Franco, Patricia Zalamea, María Juliana Vargas, Camilo Hernández, Mario Omar Fernández, Nicolás Gómez Echeverri and David M. Solodkow.
The exhibition will be open until October 15, 2023 at the Colpatria exhibition hall of the Centro Cívico Universitario at the Universidad de los Andes, Cra. 1 #19-20, Bogotá, Colombia.
