MAR. Open Call for four research residencies

Until October 23 will be open the applications for NOTAR II, a residency program belonging to MAR, a project promoted by the Museo Nacional Centro de Reina Sofía, hablarenarte, and Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso. MAR platform encourages investigation around the co-creation of new and more democratic institutions, and also promotes the involvement of citizens in the cultural field.
The four available residencies will take place in Madrid and will be carried out for a period of two months in 2023, March-April or May-June. The candidates can be researchers, artists, curators, cultural managers, teachers, or collectives with an investigation profile in cultural mediation and critical pedagogies. This call is open to persons of all nationalities regardless of their residence. Also, those selected will receive support of €5,000.
It is important to note that this residency has been formulated as “an exercise of situated knowledge production in the field of mediation (cultural, artistic, community-based, etc.) and critical pedagogies. Understanding that praxis is theory, it proposes that groups or people who work in contexts of knowledge considered subordinate, carry out a process of critical reflection on their own praxis, or that of others, transforming the knowledge acquired through practice in accessible and applicable ways by other agents.”
