Galeria Nara Roesler recently announced via Instagram the appointment of art historian and writer Luis Perez Oramas as Artistic Director of its New Initiative: Roesler Curatorial Project.
Galeria Nara Roesler has established a permanent curatorial consultantship with art historian and writer Luis Pérez-Oramas in order to set a new initiative, the Roesler Curatorial Project, for which former MoMA curator Pérez-Oramas will serve as artistic director-at-large, starting this Fall. The initiative aims to produce a series of thought-provoking, unprecedented and experimental exhibitions, publications and research initiatives to foster dialogue between artists, curators, and scholars. It sequences curatorial and editorial initiatives put forth by Galeria Nara Roesler since the early 2000s, such as Roesler Hotel and the gallery's editorial branch, APC – Associação para o Patronato Contemporâneo.
