Online book in tribute to the centenary of the birth of Leon Ferrari
On the centenary of the birth of León Ferrari, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires published the digital publication León Ferrari in his homage. La donación León Ferrari, 2014, was done especially to celebrate his legacy. The book includes images of the 72 works on paper donated by the Ferrari family in 2014 with their raisonné description and with texts by Alejandra Aguado, Agustín Díez Fischer, and Victoria Noorthoorn.
The valuable donation includes works made in ink, pencil, watercolors, and other media, created by the artist between 1964 and 2009. These works were exhibited at the museum in late 2014 and early 2015. Also, as part of the institution's commitment to Ferrari's work, they published several facsimiles of books created by him, which had had little circulation – as Victoria Nororthoorn points out, at the book launch.
The current text is the result of a research process on drawing in the renowned artist's work.
