Christie's Latin American Art Spring Auctions will be in Paris, France.

The auction house Christie's announces that the Latin American Art auctions that normally take place in New York in May, will take place this year in Paris, France. The auctions will begin June 5th, with the inauguration of the pre-sale exhibition, and will end June 10th, with the night auction in Christie's sale room in the Avenue Matignon. According the directors of Christie's, this auction house has become the most important in all of France, to which can be added the interest to expand itself to the Latin American market, offering it the opportunity to explore new markets. In addition, the directors take into consideration the significance Paris has had upon the work of Latin American artists, many of whom have lived and worked there, such as Lam, Matta, Torres-García and Diego Rivera.
