Selected for Salta Art's art program are Gabriela Mureb (Brazil, 1985) and Diogo da Cruz (Portugal, 1992).
Gabriela Mureb's residency at AIR-M Ebenböckhaus is conceived for a South American artist and is a collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture of the City of Munich. The residency will occur in this German city from July 6 to September 27, 2023. Mureb's work focuses mainly on appropriating industrial pieces to produce works between sculpture, installation, performance, and sound.
Diogo da Cruz's residency in São Paulo, Brazil, is for a Munich-based artist, is a collaboration with Pivô in São Paulo, Brazil, and will take place from August 14 to November 12, 2023, in this Brazilian city. He is currently an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
The two artists were chosen after a selection process by members of the Salta Art committee and representatives of the Department of Art and Culture of Munich and Pivô. Salta Art is a non-profit organization based in Munich that aims to strengthen ties between contemporary art personas in Germany and South America.
