The Fundación Proa inaugurated "Lo que la noche le cuenta al día"

The Fundación Proa starts its 2024 season with the opening of the exhibition “Lo que la noche le cuenta al día” (What the Night Tells the Day). This exhibition, conceived by the Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea (PAC) of Milan and curated by Andrés Duprat and Diego Sileo, brings together the work of 22 prominent Argentine artists. The exhibition aims to explore the diversity of perspectives and cultural expressions of Argentina, a country with a history marked by European migrations.
The exhibition features photographs, installations, sculptures, videos, and performances. Among the 22 featured artists in the exhibition, there are works by Liliana Maresca, Marta Minujín, and Liliana Porter, showcasing performance art, photography, and installations. Additionally, included in the display are works such as "La civilización occidental y cristiana" by León Ferrari, the slashes of Lucio Fontana, as well as performances by Alberto Greco. This exhibition, titled after the eponymous novel by Héctor Bianciotti, seeks to pay tribute to the stories of migration and the rich artistic history of Argentina.
The exhibition "Lo que la noche le cuenta al día" not only provides a retrospective view of historical pieces but also presents contemporary works that reflect key episodes in Argentine history. It is complemented by an extensive program of activities organized by the Education Department of Proa, with the support of Tenaris in Italy and Argentina, as well as the company Ternium.
The exhibition will be open for visitation until June 2024 at the Fundación Proa,, Av. Don Pedro de Mendoza 1929, C1169 Cdad. Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
