The Museu d¿Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) is a cultural institution with the legal structure of a public consortium, formed by the Catalan Government, Barcelona City Council and the MACBA Foundation. Requirements for the candidates The director must have a graduate degree and proven experience in the direction of contemporary art centers. The candidates for the position of director of the Museum must be able to demonstrate leadership capacity in order to implement and review the strategies, policies and programs that make it possible for the organization to fulfill the missions and objectives entrusted to it. The director of the Museum must guarantee the proper management of the collections, the criteria for new acquisitions, the scientific activity and the different programs (exhibitions, publications, communication, education, sponsorship, etc.) carried out by the Museum, according to the organization objectives. Presentation of candidates and selection process The candidates must submit their CV and any documents accrediting the merits mentioned in it, and a report that reflects the general lines of the project for the coming years. These documents must be submitted in Catalan, Spanish and/or English and sent to the Museu d¿Art Contemporani de Barcelona(Plaça dels Àngels 1, 08001 Barcelona, Spain) in a sealed envelope, indicating ¿Convocatòria Direcció Macba¿, by 14 March 2008.
