On February 14, La Balsa Arte moved into a new space in the north of Bogota. The new space was inaugurated with the exhibition titled "Catharsis" by Bogota-based Costa Rican artist Priscilla González. The exhibition consists of nineteen medium-sized works showcasing the approach that González has been employing for the last five years: paper cut-outs that speak of the feminine, domestic, and erotic nature of intimacy. For this exhibition, the process of the cut-outs focuses on mourning based on a family tragedy—a nephew of the artist died from an accident at the young age of 3—and developed into an aesthetic of everyday life, definite separations, and personal processes. The new space of La Balsa Arte in Bogota is located at Carrera 9 #73-44 Local 2B.
