KBr Photo Award. Open call

September 8, 2023, is the deadline for applications for the second edition of the KBr Photo Award, the biennial international prize organized by Fundación MAPFRE. The award recognizes and promotes the artistic production of photographers with a professional career already on course ; at the date of application the contestants must have had a solo exhibition or a publication.
The prize is awarded to an unpublished photography project that, if selected, will be exhibited in 2025 at the two galleries of the foundation (KBr and Madrid) and, at the same time will be published in a catalog in several languages. The winner will also receive 25,000 euros net to carry out the project within 10 months of the award's decision.
The jury is made up of four relevant personalities from the art world: Michael Mack, Alona Pardo, Valentín Roma, and Elisabeth Sherman; and a member of the MAPFRE Foundation, Carlos Gollonet. The award will be announced in October 2023.
