Julia Converti takes over as CHARCO's Latin America project director

Last Wednesday, October 28, CHARCO announced Julia Converti as the new Director of projects.
Julia fulfilled the role of General Manager of arteBA Fundación between 2013 and 2020, an institution from which she directed arteBA Contemporary Art Fair of Buenos Aires, arteBA Magazine, and various programs to the professionalization of the visual arts in Argentina. She has been a member of the board of Samsung Innova, a member of the Cultural Council of Buenos Aires since its formation in 2018, and a cultural management lecturer for the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. She studied Visual Arts at UNA and held a master’s degree from UADE in Institutional Communications Management.
CHARCO is a research and creative transversality project created in 2018 whose objective is to unite people and ideas between Spain and Latin America through contemporary art. Through the creative activity and artistic research as shared practices to develop connections between the local and the social.Among the various activities, they promote art spaces, artistic residencies, and cultural programs around landscape and territory ideas, in dialogue with unique environments, to offer specific art proposals in context.
