Jim Amaral at The Mambo
The Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogota - MAMBO presents Etcéteras - Jim Amaral. The exhibition is at the Torre Atrio and will be open to the public until March 14, 2023.
The show aims to honor the career of Jim Amaral, who has been considered an eclectic and visionary artist who deals with fantastic themes and different cultural, historical, and even psychoanalytical references. The exhibition includes drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, assemblages, and engravings, bringing together a trajectory of more than 60 years, so far being the artist's most comprehensive exhibition.
Through the different works, it is possible to discover this artist's singularity and analyze the development of Amaral's work. The exhibition is part of the "MAMBO Extramuros" series, which aims to expand the museum's exhibition spaces. For this reason, on the 30th floor of the Atrium Tower and in the Bancolombia temporary exhibition hall, more than 250 pieces are on display, including the Frutos de duelo series, which will open to the public on January 21, 2023.
