"...A process for what is absent, the unattainable, the derivations are present as insinuations, reflexes, like open doors, alternatives, variables. I find interesting elements in the craft of ceramics, in the interventions on serial images. My intention is always to reformulate concepts, not to remain aside of the continuous and changing process, in freedom and with respect to diversity. Painting is a vehicle in that path, it has always been so. It is the challenge of what does not exist yet, drawing, colors, light and matter as materials and tools in the adventure of creation.
To achieve personal insights along the process is a compromise, sometimes collective, sometimes individual. It is a compromise as an ideological and ethical contingency.
Figures or abstract elements, expressionism or symbolism, this varies according to personal circumstances.

He was born in Montevideo, where he lives and works.
1959 – enters the National School of Fine Arts (ENBA), Montevideo, Uruguay. Receives the specialist degree in engraving, ceramics, drawing and painting.
1964 -1971– teaches ceramics in the ENBA.
1972 – cofounder of the group “Cerámica del Carrito”, Montevideo, Uruguay.
1974 – cofounder of the group “Cerámica del Carrito”, Buenos Aires, Argentine
1972 to date – painting, ceramics and engraving exhibitions in Uruguay, Argentine, Spain, the United States, France, the Netherlands and Sweden.
1987-2006 – Chair of the Workshop of Aesthetic Pedagogic Free Orientation at the National School of Fine Arts Institute (IENBA), Montevideo, Uruguay.
1999 – Elected by IENBA professors as director of the Institute (to date).
Currentrly, he is the President of Art Faculty at the University.
2004-2006– Edition with “El Carrito” group of engravings and serigraphy works, together with pictorial series. ad es el Decano de la Facultad de Artes.
