The deadline for submitting all applications for the Fourth International Visual Arts Award is April 30, 2010. With a total purse of 27,000 Euros, the award is aimed at artists under 35 years of age, of any nationality or place or residence. Participants may choose any subject and technique and may present no more than two original works in any of the following disciplines: painting; sculpture; photography; engraving, and new disciplines. The size of each work may not exceed 200 × 200 centimeters. Those interested in participating may obtain the rules for participation at
www.fundacionmariajosejove.org and present their works directly at the Foundation from April 12 through 30, 2010. The jury's decision will be made public on May 27, and the winning work will become part of the art collection of the María José Jove Foundation. The winning artist will be invited to participate in the jury panel for next year's event. Headed by Felipa Jove-Santos, President of the Foundation, the jury panel for this Fourth International Visual Arts Award includes personalities from the art world such as Chema Madoz, art critic Miguel Fernández-Cid; Baltazar Torres, professor at the University of Oporto, Gloria Herazo, Colombian artist awarded the 2008 Premio Arte Joven. and Marta García-Fajardo, Director of the Art Collection at the María José Jove Foundation.
