The Visual Design Department of the University of Caldas issues a call to artists to participate in the IV Monograph Show of Media Art, which will take place from April 15¿19, 2008, and held during the VII International Image Festival in the city of Manizales, Colombia. The call is open to designers, artists, visual creators, and investigators in electronic and interactive media who use mixed media for audiovisual creations. This exhibit has the purpose of supporting creations linked with technology and facilitating communication between developers of technologies and the audiovisual creator. The Festival is a space for the expression of contemporary practices of creation with electronic and interactive media; it is a venue in which to ponder the role visual creation plays in society. The Festival also allows for the exchange of experiences surrounding the narrative and creative language of new media.
