Ibermuseos is accepting submissions for the 4th edition of the Good Practices in Educational Activities Award for Ibero-American museums.
Institutions in the fields of education and museums can submit their entries through October 31st, 2013, in two categories:
Category I for completed or ongoing projects.
Category II for projects in the planning stages.
Ibermuseos is the inter-governmental cooperation program in public policies for museums in the Ibero-American cultural space. In its three previous editions, the Program distributed awards to 16 projects in Ibero-America and incorporated 60 successful experiences to the Inter-American Bank of Good Practices and Museums.
The award judgment will be charged to a technical committee comprised of specialists from the 10 countries that are part of the Ibermuseos Inter-Governmental Committee, and will take into account such criteria as the project's socio-cultural impact, its valorization of cultural diversity, its participatory and decentralizing character, and the existence of metrics and assessment tools for the results.
The Category I award will give $10,000 for First Prize and $5,000 each for Second and Third prizes. In Category II, the award offers $10,000 each for First, Second, and Third Prize.
