4th Biennial of Nicaraguan Visual Arts Ortiz-Guardian Foundation

The fourth edition of the Biennial of Nicaraguan Visual Arts was sponsored by the Ortiz-Guardian Foundation; in this occasion the event was more open, extended to all the expressions of contemporary visual arts. The jury, made up of Kristine Stiles, Osvaldo Sanchez and Virginia Perez Ratton, granted the first prize to Wilbert Carmona for conceptual precision, technique and visual sophistication of his video Peluchitoul, the second place to Rodrigo Pacheles and his performance Los niños de mi cuidad (My city¿s kids), and Honorary Mentions for Patricia Belli, Reinaldo Fernandez, Oscar Rivas and Ernesto Salmeron.
