Artistic interventions in: Fragmentos, Espacio de Arte y Memoria

The Colombian Ministry of Culture and National Museum call for fine and visual artists, or artists with a transdisciplinary vocation, including music and other forms of artistic expression. Colombian or foreign, to carry out two artistic interventions in Fragmentos, Espacio de Arte y Memoria, dealing with Colombian armed internal conflict, international wars, victims' memories, and peacebuilding (including experiences during the peace agreements and the reconciliation processes). These artistic interventions will be presented simultaneously in the spaces designated for it. They must dialogue and respect the integrity of the counter-monument. The proposals should involve within the process of the project with social groups or organizations that represent the victims.
The applicants can be within two modalities: Artists with a long career (more than fifteen 15 years of continuous professional work), who will exhibit in Room 3 of the space; and Emerging Artists (from 5 to 15 years of consecutive professional career), who will exhibit in Room 1 of the space. In both cases, the experience must be demonstrated through supports that account for the realization of exhibitions (individual and group), or the presence in catalogs, art books, or other types of artistic and cultural publications.
The call is open until July 29th and will grant 160 million Colombian pesos for research, production, and exhibition.
