The Fundación Montemadrid opens its Inéditos 2018 (Unpublished 2018) call for young Spanish or foreign curators under the age of 35 who reside in Spain and wish to submit curatorial projects centered on contemporary art to be exhibited at La Casa Encendida in Madrid. The call will remain open until December 11, 2017 at 12:00 pm. To apply, as an individual curator or as part of a group, candidates must submit curatorial projects that stand out for their innovation, quality, and versatility. If applying as part of a group, all curators in the group must be under the age of 35 by the closing of the call. The selected finalist will receive a payment in the amount of 3,000.00 euros, subject to current tax regulations. In case of residing outside of Madrid, the amount may be incremented to defray any previously justified traveling and lodging expenses. These expenses must not exceed 1,000.00 euros. Each awarded project will receive a purse of 23,500 euros (tax included) for the development of each exhibition. The curators selected must commit to perform the functions of production and installation of the exhibition, as well as to provide the necessary paperwork (texts, bibliographies, etc.) for the creation of the catalogue, in compliance with the established deadlines and in collaboration with La Casa Encendida. The author or authors of the exhibition project cannot be part of the exhibition as artists. Individuals who have already been awarded in a previous call cannot participate. Only one project per candidate, submitted individually or as part of a group, will be accepted. A technical committee will present the projects submitted to a jury panel formed by art professionals. The jury decision will be communicated to the awarded curators by email and the public announcement will occur in the month of February of 2018 at the homepage of La Casa Encendida.
