Anilla Cultural MAC and the Scientific Nucleus Millennium ALMA Disk (MAD) are calling Chilean artists to develop creative exercises and/or new works. Creative sessions will be held at MAC Parque Forestal on August 23rd, September 27th and October 11th. This call to Chilean artists is part of the project Art, Astronomy, Technology, and Society 2014, developed as a collaboration between Anilla Cultural MAC and the Scientific Nucleus Millennium ALMA Disk (MAD). The purpose is to stimulate the development of creative exercises and/or new works based on the processing of astronomical data released by the scientific community, to be presented to the public in an audiovisual event to be held on Saturday, October 18th at Universidad de Chile's Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. The call is open to all participants in the 1st session of the Creative Incubator, held last June 8th, including those who followed it by web streaming, and to anyone interested in exploring new creative possibilities using data processing. Selected projects will enjoy the direct collaboration of MAD's astronomers 9madnucleus.com/miembros) and of media artist and professor Christian Oyarzún. The modality of this collaboration will make it possible to review advances, deal with difficulties and dialog with other participants in a clinic format. These sessions will last for three hours and will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, September 27th, and October 11th, from 11am through 2pm at the MAC Parque Forestal's seminar room.
