The 2008 Cortes de Cádiz prizes, organized by the municipal government of Cádiz and other institutions, will add three new modalities: research; botany, and musical composition. For a t a total purse of 93,000 Euros in all its categories, the prizes will be open to the entire Iberoamerican public. Participants may choose any subject in each of the eight modalities. The deadline for submitting all applications for the III Premio Iberoamericano de Bellas Artes is December 15, 2008. Applicants must present works that are original and never before published. These can be paintings, sculptures, drawings, and engravings. To formalize their candidacy, contestants must submit an official proposal. All the finalist works of this competition will be exhibited during 2009 at different sites and on dates that will be assigned by the city government of Cádiz.
