Third Kosice Biennial

The call for participation in the third edition of the Kosice Biennial will remain open until March 15. The event was created to pay tribute to Gyula Kosice with the goal of promoting the development of artistic-technological projects. Besides the support of regional cultural centers throughout the national territory, this third edition of the event has added the support the Embassies of Uruguay, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Ecuador. Thus, the competition is open to emerging and prominent Latin American artists that work with new technologies, to integrate art, science and technology. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Candidates may submit projects of different formats like: interactive installations, hydric, luminous, sound and/or kinetic installations; multimedia installations, sculptural, hydric, luminous or kinetic objects; mapping on nontraditional surfaces; objectual works with development for the Web, robotics, bio art and generative art among others. The award will be granted in a single category that will offer two awards, one special mention, and 6 mentions to artistic projects that develop technological processes within the aesthetic and conceptual guidelines that appear in the rules of the competition. The project that wins first place will receive a purse of $30,000.00 Argentinean Pesos and the second place will be granted a purse for $10,000.00 Argentinean pesos.
