The director of the Fundación Enrique Grau, Mónika Hartmann, and curator Eduardo Márceles-Daconte, call Colombian and international artists that reside in Colombia to participate in the 2nd Grau Arts Award Biennial 2016, with drawings paintings and sculptures. A jury panel will select out of the proposals submitted ten works created in each of those three disciplines. Artists will be notified by phone, email, or through the national press. Once notified, they will have thirty days to send the work selected to the headquarters of the Fundación Enrique Grau, located at Calle 94 No. 7-48, Bogota, Colombia. The works will remain there throughout the exhibition and the award ceremony. It is understood that by being selected, candidates earn the right to participate in the exhibition and compete for the awards. Awards Acquisition award: Eight million ($8,000,000.00) Colombian pesos. Golden Rita (replica of the sculpture by Enrique Grau): Second Place. Silver Rita (replica of the sculpture by Enrique Grau): Third Place. The work that wins First Place will become property of the Fundación Enrique Grau. As part of the award, the foundation will publish a catalog that will include the reviews of the works by the participating artists. 1. Works on canvas, paper, cardboard, or any other type of support cannot exceed 100 x 100 cm or be smaller than 60 x 60 cm. Sculptures must measure at least 50 x 50 x 50 cm and no more than 60 x 60 x 60 cm. 2. Each artist must submit images of three works, with their corresponding information labels, in a CD, DVD or portable memory with a minimal resolution of 300 dpi, include a biography or summary of his/her artistic trajectory that includes anything that pertaining to the medium used in the work, personal information, ID number, home phone number and/or cellular number and email address. 3. The registration fee is fifty-thousand ($50,000.00) Colombian pesos, payable to the Fundación Enrique Grau, Nit 870.043.780-2, to the checking account number 2169998826 in Banco Davivienda. A copy of the deposit slip must be included with the rest of the paperwork. 4. Return of works: once the exhibition has concluded, artists will have twenty-one (21) days to pick up their work at the foundation on Calle 94 No.7-48, in Bogota, Colombia.
