The Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Centro Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura (MAC Dragão do Mar) in Fortaleza, Brazil, presents until August 14 of this year the exhibition entitled "Feminine Identity at the IVAM Collection." This traveling exhibition from the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern arrives to Brazil with the goal of bringing female artists and their "artistic narratives" together through their works. Curated by IVAM's director, Consuelo Ciscar, and by historian and critic Barbara Rose, the exhibition "Feminine Identity at the IVAM Collection" proposes a journey through several conceptual principles that reveal a series of experimentations, materials, and techniques that emerged from a need to search for new interpretations of art. Consisting of 40 works created during the Twentieth Century and the Twenty-First Century (so far), the exhibition includes the participation of artists such as Carmen Calvo, Mónica Capucho, Elena del Rivero, Sonia Delaunay, Juana Francés, Katharina Fritsch, Cristina García-Rodero, Jacinta Gil, Susy Gómez, Roberta González, Cristina Iglesias, Linda Karshan, Germaine Krull, Carmen Laffon, Eva Lootz, Ariane Lopez-Huici, Cristina Lucas, Ángeles Marco, Blanca Muñoz, Natividad Navalón, Aurélie Nemours, Vanesa Pastor, Ana Peters, Esther Pizarro, Ana Sério, Soledad Sevilla, Cindy Sherman, Laurie Simmons, Susana Solano, Mar Solís, Grete Stern, and Sue Williams, among others.
