Ian Lester paints ¿¿because it is the basis for all, everything stems from drawing", but his work proposes us an ¿extended vision of painting¿.
He resorts to the strokes of comics or to the variety of colors of technology. He reproduces the still image of a photo portrait.
He avails himself of the texture of decorative papers or suggests depth with his spouring of turpentine.
¿They are simulations. My images sail the ambiguity, the uncertainty and the unfinished.
Everything is fictitious, hollow ¿ I always prefer doubt to certainty¿¿
