The Centro de Artes Visuales of the Fundación Helga de Alvear in Cáceres, Spain, will hold the First Spanish Contemporary Art Workshops. These workshops are part of a comprehensive research project in which prominent contemporary art historians and professionals will meet to analyze and study the artistic creations from the last two decades. Another two series of workshops will take place in 2012; one in June at La Casa Encendida in Madrid, and another one in November at the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia, in Santiago de Compostela. The findings that will emerge from these workshops will be published in a manual of Spanish contemporary Art that will serve as a tool for art professionals, students, and art lovers in general. The last day of the workshops will be January 13, 2012.
