First Collective Latin American PhotoBook

Through its web-publishing project EspacioGAF.com – Fotografía latinoamericana, Espacio GAF-Galería de arte fotográfico is inviting photographers to submit their work for the First Collective Latin American PhotoBook. The idea of creating this editorial product emerged in response to the growing need to capture on paper the extensive photographic work now underway in Latin America. The curatorship provided by Espacio GAF and the participation of Latin American photographers will result in a non-commercial, collector's item photobook collectively self-financed by those selected for publication, which will circulate in festivals, meetings, and cultural fairs for photobooks or artist's books around the world. The call is open to professional photographers and photography students who are Latin American citizens or reside in the region. Submissions can be made individually or as a group. The theme for the call is modern Latin American architecture that defies common sense. Out of scale, out of proportion constructions that intervene or distort public space. White elephants.
