Tribute to Antonio Martorell

To celebrate Puerto Rican Master Antonio Martorell's fifty years of artistic contributions to the Art of Puerto Rico, a group of sixteen artists presented the exhibition entitled Beach Workshop: A Tribute to Antonio Martorell.

This collective exhibition will include the participation of artists that have actively collaborated—some for over a decade—in the diverse artistic projects by Martorell, both in Puerto Rico and in other countries. The exhibition of drawings, paintings, engravings, photographs, sculptures, and installations, includes the participation of the following multidisciplinary artists: Robin Alicea, Yamil Collazo, Roberto Antonio Cortés, Humberto Figueroa, Eric Lluch, Rosa Luisa Márquez, Jose Menéndez, Juan Fernando Morales, Milton Ramírez-Malavé, Giovanni Rodríguez-Birriel, Germarilis Ruiz, Javier Santos, Luis Torres, José Vega, Baruch Vergara, and Miguel Villafañe.

Presented at local #184 on the first level of Plaza del Caribe in Ponce (near JC Penney), the exhibition will remain open to the public until July 31, 2012.
