Photographers Graciela Iturbide and Mario Testino were recognized with the award granted by the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City. Iturbide will receive the Cornell Capa Lifetime Achievement award. The Mexican artist has presented solo exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou, Paris (1982), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (1990), the Philadelphia Museum of Art (1997), the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles (2007), the Fundación MAPFRE, Madrid (2009), the Fotomuseum Winterthur, Zurich (2009) and the Barbican Art Gallery, London (2012), among others. Peruvian photographer Mario Testino, known for his distinguished career in the field of fashion photography, was awarded in the Special Presentations category. His photographs have been published in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair, and in successful ad campaigns for the most important fashion and cosmetic companies, such as Burberry, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Lancôme and Michael Kors. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, including the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Malba in Buenos Aires, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The Infinity Awards are regarded as the most important recognition of excellence in photography and it is also the primary source of revenue for the ICP. It helps to fund all the programs organized throughout the year, including exhibitions, the School at ICP, collections and community outreach. The awards ceremony will take place on April 30, 2015.
