The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Venezuela has just inaugurated the exhibition, curated by Fabiola Arroyo and Indira Aguilera Köhl with the consultancy of María Luz Cárdenas. entitled Gego, Open Work: Testimonies and Relevance, in the context of the centennial celebrations of the birth of the remarkable German-Venezuelan artist Gertrud Goldschmidt.
The exhibition that pays tribute to this well-remembered artist will showcase a selection of Gego's works—from the Colección FMN—alongside a heterogeneous group of pieces by other renowned contemporary visual artists from Venezuela. Likewise, the show includes singular productions by prominent Venezuelan artists working in various disciplines such as dance, poetry, and graphic design, among others.
Some of the artists invited to participate in the exhibition include: Luis Arroyo, Alessandro Balteo, Sigfredo Chacón, Elías Crespín, Eugenio Espinoza, Magdalena Fernández, Dulce Gómez, Ramsés Larzabal, Pepe López, Yucef Merhi, Emilio Narciso, Aureliano Parra, Alfredo Ramírez, and Ani Villanueva.
