Organized by the Tate Modern in London, the Gauguin: Maker of Myth exhibition opening on September 30 will include more than 100 artworks by the French artist. The first exhibition dedicated to Gauguin after more than half a century in the U.K., it is regarded as one of the most ambitious exhibitions of recent years, as well as a unique opportunity to have a closer look at Paul Gauguin's talent. It will feature oils, watercolors, and prints created during several periods in the life of the artist, as well as other works such as ceramics, sculptures, and decorative pieces. Visitors will also be able to learn more about certain lesser known aspects of Gauguin¿s private life. The exhibition will present some personal objects, letters, notebooks, and news articles.
