On Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 5pm, Fundación Proa inaugurated through a live virtual event — via Instagram Live ( @fundación_proa) — alongside participant artists, Room 1 of the MAKING WORLDS exhibition. There is an extensive virtual public program that allows an online tour of the room and brings the general public content presented, optimizing resources as much as possible available during the temporary closure of the facility.
Artists Delia Cancela, Nicola Costantino, Monica Giron, Mona Hatoum, Alicia Herrero, Monica Millán, Dalila Puzzovio, Mariela Scafati and Mini Zuccheri present a set of pieces highlighting the constructive procedures for creating works of art and the versatility of the artistic practices. A prominent and original body of works that transits from the drawings of famous women of history in a subtle dress, even anonymous outfits used and built with Mapuche jewelry. The objects of the everyday world, are the elements that artists take for their works and introduce us to this universe of materiality's that question the limits of the artistic field. The selection is crossed by different axes that allow for various connections and reading levels by expanding the limits between art, crafts, crafts and generating a new map of relationships and questions.
With the academic advice of María Laura Rosa and the curatorship of Cecilia Jaime and Manuela Otero, MAKING WORLDS departs from the second half of the twentieth century to the current times, addressing contemporary techniques and mediums such as video,
photography, installation and performance, across the various generations and cultures globally.
Inaugurating the Public Programs of MAKING WORLDS exhibition — also by Instagram Live ( @fundación_proa ) — on Sunday, October 25 at 5 p.m. Galope was released, a video performance proposal by renowned choreographer and dancer Andrea Servera that reflects on the present and mutation of the body within an art space. The cycle continues during the month of November with weekly premieres.

Artists select the phrase "I must enter, the fog is rising" from the poet Emily Dickinson, an intervention that is part of her project WRITINGS AND RE-WRITINGS.
