The Ambulante Foundation, dedicated to supporting and promoting documentary filmmaking, is arriving in Colombia. This non-for-profit organization was established in 2005 by Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Pablo Cruz, and Elena Fortes. Ambulante will present a documentary film cycle in Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, and Cartagena between August 26 and September 21, 2014. Thirty-three Colombian and international titles are featured in the program, and showings will be free and open to the public in sites such as universities, museums, cultural centers, and public spaces. Twenty-six of the titles have won recognitions in festivals around the world. Additionally, the cycle will select 7 Colombian documentaries to be launched as export products. Ambulante Foundation seeks to take advantage of new platforms developed in Colombia as windows for the exhibition of documentary films. The cycle will focus on the showcasing of recent documentary productions. For the complete program, visit
