Freedom to Create Prize

The call is open for participation in the Freedom to Create Prize, organized by the Orient Global investment group. Artists from any artistic discipline and of any nationality can participate with projects that promote social justice, build foundations for open societies, and inspire the human spirit. The prize is aimed at artists who bring a message of hope in places of conflict. An individual artist or artist collective will be awarded the main prize with a purse of $50,000.00 USD. There is also a second prize of $15,000.00 USD, and a third prize of $10,000.00 USD. Applicants must visit www.freedomtocreateprize.com to register. The filled application form must be e-mailed prior to August 14 to entry@freedomtocreateprize.com. The winners will be announced at a ceremony that will take place in London sometime in November 2009.
